Successful Internet Marketing, Step 1

There are several ways to build an e-mail list on the Internet. I will be discussing one of the most powerful methods. If this method is followed properly, you will sell products in whatever niche you would like.

First, do not act like a marketer. Nobody likes this. You're not showing interest in the customer, only their wallet. They will click off very fast scr888 and you will be banished from their view forever. Be an authority figure, advisor and friend. If you can do this, you will succeed over the Long Term. When people know you are interested in their well-being and success, they will actually open up your posts and read them. If you provide good content on those posts, they will open them up whenever they receive them.

When I was in field sales, I would not talk about my equipment immediately. I would get to know the customer and the problems that they wanted to solve. If I did not have a product that met their needs, I would tell them and then walk away from the sale. If I sold them the wrong product just to get a sale is, I would be setting myself up for the many problems that would ensue as well as possibly losing respect and future business.

I was known as a very honorable salesman who placed the customers' needs above my quota. That would help to solidify our long term relationship. They knew that they could contact me anytime and I would be there to assist them.

It's great when a customer places order after order after order over the years. That means that they respect and trust you. That is the essence of a win-win relationship. Problems are solved and everybody sleeps well at night.

Accomplishing the above on the Internet.

First, visit many forums and blogs in your niche. Comment and add some advice to the threads that are most popular. Do not include links to anything for a little while. Just some information about you in the author's biography box. Links will come later. You need to prove your authority. Your responses to given posts do not need to be very long. They do need to add your quality content to the topic. After you do this a number of times you might want to weave in to your posts something like, "to best answer this question, you might want to check this out - YOUR DOMAIN NAME ". Since you are now pretty much proven as an authority figure, it is okay to direct the customer to a solution. That product is now endorsed by an authority figure, you, and the likelihood/probability that the customer will place an order soon is much greater.

YOUR DOMAIN NAME can point the customer to a Squeeze Page. The goal of a squeeze page is to capture the customers e-mail address. That is it. You will use your authority on your squeeze page to build your list and then you will GIVE the customer something of value for their e-mail address. Giveaways should be something like an e-book, report for video on the subject at hand. See Again, it is a win-win thing.

Now that you have the customer fully opted into your e-mail list, you can communicate with the customer over and over for through the years. Communicate with your list in a respectable way. Meaning, communicate when you have content to add or would like to discuss a product. Never make the customer feel overwhelmed with your messages. To everything on the up and up
